I took what I thought was my favorite aspects of the Hypnotic style and wove it into my own music and style. What I consider the best that Rave and Techno music offered in my interpretations.

Back in the Summer of 1995 I discovered the Hypnotics label a division of Caroline Records. I was immediately struck by the difference in methods the artists presented on these compilations. At the time I believed it was the new modern way to make synth music in the 1990's. I had to be part of it and in many ways my drive towards my goals for the Dorsal Fin Project was a success because of my drive and it's opportunity. If ever I was going to make it "big" in the music biz this was it. Caroline Records passed my name onto Hypnotics after reading my concise letter that they instructed artists interested in submitting their work for consideration. Success was short lived. Hard to say why. There were many factors to consider but Hypnotics stayed interested with me for a while.

The main roster of CD's that sold under the Hypnotics banner were compilations of modern European Electronic Artists of that timeline. (1995-96) This new breed of EM artists were more geared to a faster, slimmer, perhaps simpler style EM derived from Techno Music and the then thriving Rave scenes around the World. The style represented on Hypnotics was heavy on kick drum 4/4 timing and TB-303 lead synths while more pads and traditional synth lines were more in the background.
